Mr. and Mrs. I. Sylvester

Mr. I. Sylvester came to Deepwater Township, in McLean County, from Grand Forks County, North Dakota, where he homesteaded near Roseglen.

He married Marie Nelson, of Northwood, North Dakota, who had filed on a claim next to his. They left Roseglen shortly after, and settled on a farm at Thompson, North Dakota.

Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester had two children who were orphaned at an early age, their parents passing away within two years of each other. The little girl and boy lived with various relatives until they had received their education.

Ruth attended college at Moorhead, Minnesota, and nurses training in Minneapolis, later marrying a dentist, Phillip Rostads, who practiced in Moorhead.

In 1967, Howard was single and working as an electrician in Huntington Beach, California.
