Andrew Larson

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Larson

Andrew Larson was born in Sweden in 1873. He came to the United States as a boy, and settled in Minnesota. In 1902, he married Gertrude Dunlop of Bainerd, Minnesota and, in 1904, they homesteaded in Romsaas Township, in McLean County, North Dakota.

Mrs. Larson passed away in January of 1961. In 1967, when the Golden Jubilee book was published, Mr. Larson was living with two of his younger children, Ethelyn and Harlan, on the old homestead. He was ninety-four years old in 1967.

The Larsons had nineteen children. Their first child passed away at birth. The others are Murat, Edmund, N.D. (named for North Dakota), Albert, Albin, Elva (Mrs. Floyd Trueblood), Harold, Birdie (Mrs. Manuel Swayde), Bertha (Mrs. Emmet Gleghorn), Maxine (Mrs. Wallace Mikkelson), Danzel, Ethelyn, Earl, Glenn, LaVerne, Arlo, Clifford, and Harland.
