Carl Petterson

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Petterson

Like many others, Carl Petterson came to North Dakota from Minnesota, homesteading in the Romsaas area of McLean County. He married a daughter of Matt Merz, and they had four children. Mrs. Elsie Jones, Mrs. Reuben Broneske, Walter Peterson, and Lennart Peterson were their children.

Mr. and Mrs. Petterson passed away sometime prior to 1967, when the Golden Jubilee book was published. Carl is remembered as being and old time violinist. He and his brother, Anton, played for several dances in the early days of homesteading in Romsaas Township.
