Nelson Sisters

The Nelson Sisters

Three Nelson sisters came from the eastern part of North Dakota to file on homesteads in Romsaas Township, in McLean County. They were Marie, Hannah, and Christine. Each of them lived in the township long enough to prove up their homesteads.

Afterwards, Marie went back to Minneapolis. She was a trained nurse, who worked in that profession for many years, passing away in 1966, more than ninety years of age.

Hannah married Will Flynn, and lived in Romsaas Township, and in Minot, for several years. After proving up, Christine moved back to Nelson County, where she was married, later moving to California. She passed away sometime prior to 1967, when the Golden Jubilee book was published.
