Peter Romsaas

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Romsaas

Peter Romsaas, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Romsaas, homesteaded in what would become Romsaas Township, McLean County, North Dakota. He was married, and had one son, Allen. Peter ran the Jeanette post office and a store from his home for about four years, until the R.F.D. from Ryder was started in 1910.

The family moved to Fargo in 1918, and Peter passed away in 1939. In 1967, when the Golden Jubilee book was published, his wife, Hannah, was living in a nursing home in Fargo.
