Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Larson

Theodore Larson was born in Iowa, and grew up inn Elk Point, South Dakota. He came to North Dakota in 1905, and took a homestead near the Jeanette store and post office. His fiancé, Elsie Hanson, of Elk Point, came from Heide, Germany, with her parents at the age of five.

Theodore and Elsie were married in the fall of 1905, after which they bought a farm two miles southwest of Makoti, in Romsaas Township, McLean County, in 1913, and moved into a new house there in 1915, along with their family: Mabel, Maggie, John, Edward, and Gilbert.

Mr. Larson operated a farm machinery business on his farm, along with his regular farming operations, until 1959, when they moved to California. Mr. and Mrs. Larson passed away in California, where the family continued in the farm machinery business.
