Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, Jr.

John Hill, Jr. was born at Mondovi, Wisconsin on August 26, 1883. He came to North Dakota in 1904, and homesteaded on the place that was owned by Floyd Hill in 1967, when the Golden Jubilee book was published. He was an early settler of the Roseglen, North Dakota community.

John Hill, Jr. was married to Lena Kerzman on November 11, 1908. He farmed until 1934, when he was elected County Judge, an office that he held for twenty-six years.

Mrs. Hill passed away in 1945. Following the death of his wife, John lived at Washburn until his health failed, after which he moved in with the children. He died in June of 1965, leaving three children: Ervin, Gladys, and Laverne.
